Iran Human Rights (MAY 23 2017): Five prisoners are scheduled to be hanged in the coming days, according to sources of Iran Human Rights.
Six prisoners from Karaj Central Prison were transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for their executions, which were scheduled for Sunday May 22. One of the prisoners was eventually returned to his cell while the other five prisoners are scheduled to be executed in the coming days. All the prisoners were sentenced to death for drug related charges.
Eight other prisoners are scheduled to be executed in the coming days in Karaj's Rajai Shahr prison (west of Tehran).
