Iran: Man Hanged for Drug Charges

Iran Human Rights (IHR); February 4, 2020: A man was hanged for drug-related charges at the Iranian city of Borujerd’s prison Sunday.

According to IHR sources, on the morning of Sunday, February 2, 2020, death-row prisoner Rasoul Molla-Hassani (39) was hanged at Borujerd Central Prison.

“He was arrested four years ago and sentenced to death for carrying 92 kg of Methamphetamine,” a well-informed source told IHR.

Out of the 110 people who were executed in the first half of 2019, nine were sentenced to death for drug-related charges.
