Davoud Abdollahi, who was charged with espionage and sentenced to death by a revolutionary court, has been executed

Iran Human Rights, July 4: According to the site "Human rights activists in Iran" Mr. Davoud Abdollahi, convicted of spying and sentenced to death by a revolutionary court, was executed in Tehran’s Evin prison, on June 22, 2008. Mr. Abdollahi was arrested 9 years ago, and has been held in the Evin prison since 2006.
Iranian officials have not mentioned Mr. Abdollahi’s execution so far.

Monthly report for June 2008: At least 18 people, among them one minor, were executed

Iran Human Rights, July 2: According to the official Iranian media, at least 18 people were executed in the month of June 2008 in Iran. All of them were executed by hanging inside the prisons.
Among those executed there was at least one minor. Mohammad Hassanzadeh, who was hanged in the prison of Sanandaj, was 16 years and 11 months old at the time of execution. He was convicted of a murder he allegedly committed when he was 14 years and 11 months old.

Iran Human Rights, July 2: Three people were hanged in the Evin Prison in Tehran, early this morning, reported the state run news agency ISCAnews. They are dientified as: "Hamidreza M." (26) convicted of murdering Roohollah (21) in 2006, "Reza" (age not given) convicted of murdering "Ramin R." in 2006 and "Naghib" (age not given) convicted of murdering Abdulrasoul in 2004.

A young man was hanged in Isfahan today

Iran Human Rights, July 1: A young man identified as Hamid was hanged in Isfahan’s prison early this morning according to the Iranian daily newspaper qudsdaily. He was convicted of a murder two years ago (May 2006). Hamid’s age was not mentioned in the report.
However the website "Ebrat", which is close to the security forces reported that " a 19 years old man, identified as Hamid, was hanged in the Isfahan prison today". If the age given by Ebrat is correct, Hamid was 17 years old when he (...)

One man is sentenced to death by a revolutionary court in Tehran, convicted of espionage for Israel

Iran Human rights, June 30: One man was sentenced to death by a revolutionary court in Tehran reported the official Iranian news agency IRNA today. He is identified as Ali Ashtari (45) and is convicted of espionage for the Israeli government. No further details were revealed in the report.

Iran Human Rights, June 25: Mohammad Hassanzadeh, a minor offender who was hanged in the prison of Sanandaj on June 10, 2008, was 16 years and 11 months old, according to Mohammad Mostafaei, who is the lawyer of more than 21 minors sentenced to death.
Mohammad Hassanzadeh was convicted of a murder he had committed when he was 14 years and 11 months old.

Saeed Jazi’s scheduled execution has been postponed for one month

President of the Norwegian Parliament asks the Iranian authorities to halt execution of the minors

Iran Human Rights, June 24: Thorbjorn Jagland, president of the Norwegian Parliament has sent an official letter to his counterpart in the Iranian Majles (Parliament) Ali Larijani, asking Iran to halt the planned executions of the minors.
