Ten Prisoners in Rajai Shahr in Danger of Execution

Ten prisoners in Rajai Shahr Prison have been transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for their executions.

Iran Human Rights, September 13 2015: On the morning of Sunday September 13, ten prisoners in Rajai Shahr Prison, who are charged with murder, were reportedly transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for their executions.

Four of the ten prisoners have been identified as Davoud Alambeigi, Mohammad Mahmoudi, Mehdi Kaheh and Morteza Ahmadbeigi. This is reportedly Alambeigi's fourth time being taken to the gallows. Last month Iranian authorities suspended his execution right before it was to be carried out and returned him to his cell. Alambeigi had reportedly received a last-minute reprieve from the plaintiffs on his case file.

According to a close source, due to the complications and difficulties that arose from processing Alambeigi's reprieve, the plaintiffs gave up their pursuit to save his life.
