Iran Human rights, September 3: One man was hanged in the city of Arak (Markazi province, south of Tehran), reported the Iranian daily Etemaad.
He, who was not identified by name, was convicted of murdering his wife.
He was hanged on Monday September 1. in the prison of Arak.

Kolsoom Akbari, 59, is at grave risk of execution in Sari Central Prison. Forced into marriage at the age of 11, she has been sentenced to ten counts of qisas (retribution-in-kind death sentences). Branch 29 of the Supreme Court has dismissed her appeal.
