Three Prisoners Executed on Drug Charges

Iran Human Rights (DEC 22 2016): Three Baloch prisoners were reportedly executed at Birjand Central Prison (South Khorasan province, eastern Iran) on drug related charges.

According to a report by the human rights news agency HRANA, the executions were carried out by Iranian authorities on Monday December 19. The report identifies two of the prisoners as Allahnoor Daroonpoor and Nasser Barahuee. The name of the third prisoner is not known at this time.

Iranian official sources, including the Judiciary, have been silent about these three executions.
