Iran: Young Prisoner Executed on Murder Charges

Iran Human Rights (APR 17 2017): A prisoner was reportedly executed at Mashhad Central Prison on the morning of Sunday April 16.
The Iranian state news agency "Khorassan" has announced the prisoner as a 22-year-old man by the name of Meghdad.

مطهره گونهای، دانشجوی دندانپزشکی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی تهران، پیشتر نیز بهدلیل شرکت در اعتراضات ۱۴۰۱ و مخالفت با مجازات اعدام بازداشت و از تحصیل محروم شده بود.

مطهره گونهای، فعال دانشجویی، امروز ۱۶ شهریور پس از مراجعه به اجرای احکام بازداشت و برای اجرای حکم حبس به زندان اوین منتقل شد.
او پیشتر بابت «تبلیغ علیه نظام» به ۱۵ ماه و بابت «اهانت به رهبری» به شش ماه حبس محکوم شده بود.
