Iran: Unidentified Prisoner Executed

Iran Human Rights (APR 29 2017): An unidentified prisoner was reportedly hanged at Birjand Central Prison (South Khorasan province) on rape charges.
According to a report by the Iranian state run news agency Khavarestan, the prisoner was 27 years old at the time of execution. The report does not mention the prisoner's name nor the date of execution.

مطهره گونهای، دانشجوی دندانپزشکی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی تهران، پیشتر نیز بهدلیل شرکت در اعتراضات ۱۴۰۱ و مخالفت با مجازات اعدام بازداشت و از تحصیل محروم شده بود.
نام او در گزارش سالانه «مدافعان حقوق بشر در ایران» سازمان حقوق بشر ایران نیز گنجانده شده است.

مطهره گونهای، فعال دانشجویی، امروز ۱۶ شهریور پس از مراجعه به اجرای احکام بازداشت و برای اجرای حکم حبس به زندان اوین منتقل شد.
او پیشتر بابت «تبلیغ علیه نظام» به ۱۵ ماه و بابت «اهانت به رهبری» به شش ماه حبس محکوم شده بود.
