Iran: Two Prisoners Hanged on Murder Charges

Iran Human Rights (MAY 10 2017): On the morning of Monday May 8, two prisoners were reportedly hanged at Mashhad Central Prison.
According to the Iranian state-run news agency Rokna, one of the prisoners, who was not identified by name, was 35 years old, while the other prisoner, who was identified by the initials M.M., was 27 years old.

مطهره گونهای، دانشجوی دندانپزشکی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی تهران، پیشتر نیز بهدلیل شرکت در اعتراضات ۱۴۰۱ و مخالفت با مجازات اعدام بازداشت و از تحصیل محروم شده بود.

مطهره گونهای، فعال دانشجویی، امروز ۱۶ شهریور پس از مراجعه به اجرای احکام بازداشت و برای اجرای حکم حبس به زندان اوین منتقل شد.
او پیشتر بابت «تبلیغ علیه نظام» به ۱۵ ماه و بابت «اهانت به رهبری» به شش ماه حبس محکوم شده بود.
