13 Prisoners Face Imminent Execution in Rajai Shahr Prison

13 prisoners are in imminent danger of execution in Karaj's Rajai Shahr Prison.
Iran Human Rights (JULY 11 2017): On Monday July 10, 13 prisoners in Rajai Shahr Prison were reportedly transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for their executions. According to close sources, the prisoners are on death row on murder charges and are scheduled to be executed on Wednesday July 12.
Iran Human Rights has obtained the names of four of the prisoners: Hamid Eslami, Shamsali Abdoli, Mehdi Ahmadi, and Mohammad Hamevand.

Bavi’s execution had not been officially reported. At least 747 people, including 48 women, were executed for murder charges in Iran in 2025, the highest number of qisas executions since 2010.

Yousef Bavi, a 28-year-old Arab man, was executed in Ahvaz Sepidar Prison on 25 August. He was 19 when the incident that led to his qisas death sentence took place.
