Iran: 13 Prisoners in Imminent Danger of Execution

Iran Human Rights (SEPT 18 2017): On Saturday September 16, thirteen prisoners in Karaj's Rajai Shahr Prison who are on death row on murder charges were transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for their executions. 

According to close sources, the thirteen prisoners are scheduled to be executed on Wednesday September 20. Iran Human Rights has obtained the names of four of these prisoners: Jafar Zamani, Jamshid Javanbakhsh, Reza Heydari, and Mojtaba Ghiasvand. 

"Mojtaba Ghiasvand was sentenced to death on murder charges, but he had repeatedly insisted on his innocence, " an informed source tells Iran Human Rights.
