Iran: Man Hanged for Murder Charges

Iran Human Rights (IHR); December 5, 2019: A man was executed for murder charges at Karaj city’s Rajai-Shahr prison, near Tehran Wednesday.
According to IHR sources, on the morning of Wednesday, December 4, prisoner Ali Golmohammadi was hanged at the Karaj city’s Rajai-Shahr prison.
“Ali Golmohammadi had been sentenced to death over murdering his fiancee,” a well-informed source told IHR.
Out of the 110 people who were executed in the first half of 2019, 83 were sentenced to qisas (retribution in-kind) for murder.

Mohammadreza Salehzadeh, known as Shahin, was executed in Gorgan (Amir Abad) Central Prison on 6 October 2026 after being sentenced to qisas for murder, Iran Human Rights reports.

علی فرهادی، پدر دختری ۱۷ساله، صبح یکشنبه ۲۶ مهر ۱۴۰۵ در زندان مرکزی تبریز اعدام شد. او با اتهامات مرتبط با مواد مخدر به اعدام محکوم شده بود.
