Prison sentence of the women’s rights activist, Delaram Ali, is stopped for now

Iran Human Rights, November 10: Delaram Ali’s prison sentence which was scheduled to start today, has been stopped for now, says Delaram’s lawyer Nasrin Sotoodeh to the state-run news agency ISNA. More details will follow later.

Abbas Mardani, 30, and Mansour Rahiminejad, 38 and a father of one, were executed in Qom Central Prison on 31 August. Both were sentenced to death on drug-related charges.

Six women were among those executed, the highest monthly total recorded in 2026. Only 10 of the 82 August executions were officially announced. IHRNGO recorded at least 532 executions in Iran between 1 January and 31 August 2026.
