Iran: At Least Three People Hanged at Rajai-Shahr Prison
Iran Human Rights (IHR); February 3, 2020: Out of 20 prisoners who were transferred to the solitary confinement of Rajai-Shahr prison during the past few days, at least three were hanged on February 2, 2020.
According to IHR sources, on the morning of Sunday, February 2, at least three prisoners were hanged at Rajai-Shahr prison in Karaj city, near Tehran. They were identified by IHR sources as Sajjad Zahiri, Nima Gharadaghi and Hossein Pasha.
At least 20 death-row prisoners had been transferred to the solitary confinement of Rajai-Shahr prison as a preparation for their execution. IHR continues its research to get information about other death-row prisoners’ destiny.
