One woman was hanged in northeastern Iran

Iran Human Rights, September 26: One woman was hanged in the prison of Sarakhs, north-east Iran, reported the state run Iranian news agency ISNA.
The woman, whose name and age were bnot mentioned, was convicted of murdering her husband 10 years ago in a village near the town of Sarakhs, accroding to the report.
She was hanged in the prison of Sarakhs on Thursday September 24., said the report.

Six women were among those executed, the highest monthly total recorded in 2026. Only 10 of the 82 August executions were officially announced. IHRNGO recorded at least 532 executions in Iran between 1 January and 31 August 2026.
