A woman prisoner (Safieh Ghafoori) was hanged in Shiraz today

Iran Human Rights, July 12: According to reliable sources that Iran Human Rights is in contact with, a woman prisoner, Safieh "Maryam" Ghafouri, was hanged in Shiraz prison early this morning.

Safieh Ghafouri was convicted of murder but, according to some sources, she was innocent and had confessed to the murder under pressure.
